She gives a detailed report life on the ground in Bagdhad in May 2009 and advocates for an international project recently launched in the Middle East for exchanges of "mutual apologies" to bring reconciliation for those injured in invasive wars and Resistance fighter combat in in the region.
Closer to home in Portland Oregon, she is lead organizer for the upcoming Iraq and American Festival at farmers' market in Portland that will feature the flavors, textures and bouquet of Iraqi fine cuisine as well as music, dance and other elements of Iraqi culture
